FRESH NEWS FROM THE FARM

As of 6pm tonight it looks like the phone and fax lines are back.  We do apologise if anyone has been having difficulty making contact with us.  In other news our blackberries are being harvested now - cooler weather is extending the season.

All fax and phone lines to the farm are faulty and we don't expect them to be back up until at least tomorrow Tues 2 February 2010.  Email is our only contact with the outside world - the joys of rural living!  Please bear with us.  Thank you.

Just in time for Christmas orders our Mulberry Jelly is now available from the Online Store!  This beautiful dark purple jelly is a favourite on cheese plates, with ham and turkey or just on toast or bread.

Other news - the apricots, plums and blackberries are ripening nicely.  The crop, as always, relies on enough water, plenty of sunshine and not too many of those 40 degree days!

Our mulberry harvest will begin on Friday and it looks like a BUMPER season!  As soon as we have some delicious Mulberry Jam and Jelly I will post it here and add it to the online shop.  We got the nets on the minute we heard the Channel Bill Cuckoos and that seems to have done the trick.

A PERFECT 10!

We were so excited to find out on Monday that our products had been awarded 10 medals at the Royal Hobart Fine Food Awards!!  The winners were Gold for Raspberry Rhubarb & Vanilla Jam and Raspberry Jam (now a double gold winner), Silver for Blackberry Jam, Lite Five Berry Jam, Fig Jam, Seville Orange Marmalade, Lemon Lime & Ginger Marmalade and Blackberry Sauce and Bronze for Apricot Jam and Sour Cherry Jam.  Apart from the Raspberry Jam they were all first time entries so it's just fantastic they all won medals!
